2017 Bar Poker Open Underway in Las Vegas

Big crowd for Event 1

The 2017 Bar Poker Open kicked off this afternoon in the Golden Nugget tournament area and the first event of five is pulling in a nice crowd of players on a Sunday afternoon for the $150 buy-in/$20,000 Guaranteed opener. There were more than 200 entries in the game at the first break with more than four hours left to register for the one-day event.

That $20,000 guaranteed prize pool has already been surpassed and they will continue running it up until registration is closed at 5:30pm. We’ll continue to keep an eye on the tournament to see its final numbers, prize pool, and payout information later this evening.

This is a nice warm up for the big event tomorrow when the Bar Poker Open National Championship kicks off at 11am. Players can check-in this evening between 8pm and 11pm outside the ballroom to get an early jump on the huge crowd expected for Day 1A.
