Day 1A of the 2017 Bar Poker Open National Championship finished with 27 players advancing to Day 2 on Wednesday. Howard Acoff of the Texas Poker Tour bagged up the biggest stack by a wide margin, easily surpassing the 870,000 of 2014 BPO National Champion Ryan Chua.
Players who bagged up today are still eligible to play tomorrow. Day 1B will play the same schedule and players have a chance to cash again in the National Championship. If a player advances twice, their biggest stack will go into play on Day 2 and they will receive a Day 2 min-cash for the smaller bag.
