National Championship Day 1B: Kerri Pankowski Finds Aces; Ends the Day
2017 Bar Poker Open National Championship
Level 23: 20,000/40,000 with a 5,000 Ante
Day 1B Entries: 265
Players Remaining: 13
It didn’t take very long get the field down to the last 13 players, little longer than last night but in the same level.
Kerri Pankowski moved all in with one player already all in with his big blind. The rest of the table released and Pankowki’s As Ah were dominated the blind hand of Ts 4s. She had a small sweat on the turn but her aces held on the Ac Qd 2s Kh 7c board to pause the tournament for the night. Probably not the max amount she would want with aces but the job was done.
Nick Sims lost his lead late when Basil Congro surged ahead, mostly thanks to a kings versus queens battle to send him north. Congro bagged up 1,499,000 and Sims was not far behind with 1,133,000 to join Howard Acoff as the only three players returning with more than 1 million.
